Kara + Juan

Kara and Juan were such a pleasure to work with - and their big day turned out perfectly!

The bride's family hosted close friends and family members on their land near Bryson City. Kara's father expressed his love by building a beautiful ceremony spot with a view over the mountains, benches built from wood on the property, and a gorgeous stone walkway and outdoor fire to greet the guests on their way to the ceremony.

Dinner was on the covered porch of the family home, with some additions from Mountain Party Tents and Events - farm tables and dark mahogany chairs bedecked with gorgeous fall flowers and custom hung laurel branch lighting from Ray's Florist in Sylva. (Pashminas draped over the chairs awaited the female guests!)

A local artist, Heather Kindy of Visual Awakening Photography, designed the invitations, menus, and chalkboards, and took stunning photographs throughout the day. Ray's Florist of Sylva created some of the most incredible fall flower arrangements we've ever seen, especially these gorgeous bouquets!

The dinner menu from our friends at Lulu's in Sylva was one of the most sumptuous we've seen, offering eggplant, filet, and a variety of small plates and treats for the guests.

Our friends at Raquel's Creative Cakes really outdid themselves, too - these naked cakes and desserts perfectly captured the refined but playful spirit of Kara and Juan's design.

We couldn't be happier for Kara and Juan and we know their strong bond and partnership will help them build a long and beautiful future together!
